Extreme Challenge
Weekly
A rack of boss stages, five players to a run, cleared in any order at a difficulty you pick. It pays feathers, which is the reason to finish it rather than dip into it — and the top difficulty is gated behind the server's level, not yours.
Runs on
No start or end date — it is a permanent fixture.
How it works
Each stage is a boss, and in practice each run is five players. The rules allow going in solo, and at the difficulties anyone actually cares about that is not what happens. Stages can be taken in any order.
What makes it unusual is that you choose the difficulty: one to five stars, and the harder the stage, the better it pays. You are scored on difficulty and on how long you took.
Each stage pays its reward once per event window. Clearing it again the same week gives nothing, so the whole event is a fixed list of first clears rather than something to grind.
Why you finish it instead of dipping in
It pays feathers, and the higher the difficulty, the more of them. That puts Extreme Challenge in the same bracket as the content you clear because your account needs it, not because the week is slow — the reward is account progression, and it does not come around again if you skip the window.
It also settles the only real choice the event offers. Since each stage pays once and pays by difficulty, pushing the star rating beats clearing more stages on easy. A run you barely survive at 4★ is worth more than two comfortable ones below it.
The difficulty gate is not about you
4★ and 5★ open on the server's level, not yours — 90 and 100 respectively. No amount of personal progression opens them early. 4★ is already open, which means the server has cleared 90; 5★ is still waiting on 100.
One limitation the game mentions once and never repeats: cross-server challenges are not scored or ranked. If the rating is what you are here for, stay on your own server.
The reward tables are not detailed here yet — the client does not carry them, and we would rather leave a gap than guess at which feathers and how many. This section gets filled in from the event screen itself.
