How it works
The screen is a 3×3 puzzle: nine squares, one per chapter of a side story, Memory Fragment I to IX. On the first day one square is revealed, and the Go button takes you to the NPC. It needs Base Level 25.
After the event starts, one story dungeon opens per day. Each chapter is two quests — the first accepted at the NPC, the second right after it, and that is the one that pays — and a chapter only opens once the previous one is closed. The rule text warns that these are puzzle dungeons, harder than the usual.
It runs from Sep 10, 05:00 to Sep 28, 04:59. Each chapter pays once.

The opens into one random item out of five: the Transformation Item of 
Chimera, 
Owl Baron,

Bloody Knight, or . The rolls a mount trait by −5 to +5 and only works once the Job Mount is active. The is mouthwear — PDEF +15, MDEF +5 and AGI +3 when equipped; kept in the Wardrobe as an appearance, those numbers do not count.
The ninth day
With one dungeon a day, the arithmetic is short: the first opened on Sep 10, so chapter IX is not in reach before Sep 18. The event closes on the 28th — there is slack, but not much.
The mount fragment, and its deadline
Five combine into the Airship mount — 100% success, no cost, from the Combine button on the fragment's tooltip in your bag. The fragment needs Level 40, and each of the five events on the Shadows over Glast Heim screen pays exactly one. It also expires on Sep 28 at 04:59: after that, each fragment turns into 100 . Whoever does not have all five by then keeps the coins and loses the mount.

The last column is our arithmetic on the client tables, not a date the game shows. The latest of them sets the earliest day the mount can be complete: Sep 22, and only if the Clash of Chaos server bar is full by then. Between that and the Sep 28 expiry there are six days.
