Where's Foxball?
Recurring
The 2048 clone, dressed as a cake. Sixteen cells, tiles of 2 and 4, and merges that run up to 1024. Every merge has a chance to drop a strawberry, and the strawberries buy from the event shop — which is where this event actually happens.
When it ran
- Aug 24 – Sep 7 ended Announced in Aug 24, 2026
How it is played
Sixteen cells, seeded with 2s and 4s. Slide in a direction and everything slides with it; two equal numbers that collide add up. After each slide a new number appears in an empty cell. The game ends when the grid is full and no two neighbours match, and your score is the sum of everything you merged, not the biggest tile.
Three skills come with charges: Undo, which rolls the last move back and takes away the points and strawberries that move had earned; Remove, which deletes any number from the board; and Replace, which swaps a number for a different one.
Where the strawberries come from
Every merge has a chance to drop , and the bigger the number you made, the better the odds and the bigger the drop. On top of that:
The daily — reach 128, 256 and 512 points in a round, 100 strawberries each. One round that gets to 512 clears all three, so it is 300 a day.
| One-off quest | Strawberries |
|---|---|
| Combine a 1024 once | 1,000 |
| Accumulate 1,000 points | 500 |
| Accumulate 3,000 | 600 |
| Accumulate 5,000 | 700 |
| Accumulate 6,000 | 800 |
| Accumulate 10,000 | 1,000 |
That list is worth 4,600 once, and the daily is worth 4,200 across the 14 days of the event — 8,800 without a single drop.
The shop
| Item | Price | Limit | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 20 | 1,000 | |
| 50 | 20 | 1,000 | |
| 450 | 2 | 900 | |
| 450 | 2 | 900 | |
| 25 | 50 | 1,250 | |
| 100 | 45 | 4,500 | |
| 500 | 5 | 2,500 | |
| 500 | 5 | 2,500 | |
| 150 | 5 | 750 | |
| Sky & Terra Opt. Chest | 400 | 5 | 2,000 |
| 300 | 5 | 1,500 |
Buying every line to its limit costs 18,800.
The arithmetic closes exactly
The two sides are separate, and that is what makes the sum work. The quests hand out 8,800 and none of it passes through the ceiling. The counter on the game screen runs to 10,000 and covers only what the game drops while you play. Added together: 18,800 — to the strawberry, the price of the whole shop.
So the ceiling is the event's real decision, and it is a question of volume rather than taste. Fill the 10,000 and you empty the shop without cutting a single line. Stop at the quests and you are on 8,800, under half of it.
Filling it is not about playing many short rounds either. The drop scales with the size of the number you merge, so one round that reaches 1024 is worth more strawberries than several that die on 128.
The deadline is not the same as the game's
The game closes on 07/09 at 05:00 and the shop stays open until 08/09 — a full extra day just to spend. Strawberries left after that are not lost either: each one converts to 100 .
Strategy — where the strawberries should go
The order, and what each line does for the account
- — 2,500 for the limit. First, always. Fame feeds Medals of Glory, which is power outright, and there is no other source that matters. What another event hands out does not make you need less of it; this kind of resource never saturates.
- The four feather chests — 6,750 for all of them at the limit. The Day-Night at 150 is the cheapest way in and the Time-Space at 300 offers the widest choice: four Tier 1 feathers or 60 .
- — 1,250, and the cap of 50 is exactly what combines into one . The pack holds two things: the album, which gives a random blue card or rarely a purple one, and one . The token is the reason. It buys the card you pick in the Advanced Purple Card Shop at 50 or 100 tokens, and the 100s are the ones worth having —
Marc,
Hydra,
Thara Frog. Purple cards almost never come out of a monster; long enough that the whole habit of hoarding farm for double card drop events exists because of it. This is the only path where you choose the card instead of hoping for it, and this event moves that counter by one token. - Blessed ore — 1,800 for both kinds at their limit of two. It keeps a failed refine from dropping the level, and with success rates in the 10 to 20% range that is worth more than another attempt.
- and — 2,000. Low, and not because they go unused: refining succeeds somewhere between 10 and 20% of the time and a failure burns the ore for nothing, so the consumption never stops. It is supply that puts them here — Lucky Flip alone hands out around 700 refine packs in an overlapping window.
- — last. Mount level does not give much power, and at 4,500 it is the single biggest line in the shop: the most expensive thing on the board is also the least useful.
Where the money runs out
The quests alone are 8,800. Following the order above, that covers the outright and then almost all of the feather chests — and stops there. Everything from the down needs the drop ceiling filled.
Strategy — how to reach 1024
The daily asks for points, not tiles
Worth clearing up first, because it changes how long you have to play: 128 points in a round is not a 128 tile. Your score is the sum of everything you merged, so a handful of merges already covers it, and the 512 step comes out of a short round. Nobody needs a big tile for the daily.
Pick a corner and never leave it
The whole game is one rule: your biggest tile lives in one corner and never moves out of it. Say you choose bottom-left — then you press Left and Down, you press Up only when there is nothing else, and you never press Right. The moment the big tile leaves the corner, the board is lost.
Keep the corner row in descending order
The row that holds the big tile should read biggest to smallest along its length. Built that way it merges in a cascade: the pair at the end joins, everything shifts, and the next pair is already lined up. Built out of order it jams, and a jammed row is what forces the move that kicks the big tile out.
The next tile is on screen
This version shows the piece that is about to appear, which the original 2048 does not. It is real information and most people ignore it: knowing whether a 2 or a 4 is coming decides which direction leaves the right gap for it — you want the new tile landing away from your corner, not inside your descending row.
What each skill is for
Undo takes back the points and strawberries that move had earned, so it is for fixing a position you misplayed, never for re-rolling a drop you did not like. Remove solves the classic disaster: one small tile stranded in the middle of your big row. And Replace is for the number that breaks the descending order — change it instead of dismantling the row around it.
One 1024 is worth about 9,216 points
Building a 1024 out of 2s takes 512 of them: 256 merges making 4s, 128 making 8s, and so on to the single merge that makes the 1024 — nine levels, each adding 1,024 to the score. The top step of the challenge list asks for 10,000 accumulated, so one good round almost clears the whole ladder.
Two footnotes. The board also seeds 4s, and every 4 that spawns saves a merge and takes points off that total, so 9,216 is the ceiling rather than the number. And since the strawberry drop scales with the size of what you merge, that same round is where the drops are too — going deep beats going often.
