September 22 patch: Nightmare Temple Season 2 opens with the Maelstrom armament, plus dye and MVP mounts
Nightmare Temple enters Season 2, Mysterious Ocean, with five new bosses and the Maelstrom Divine Armament. The patch also brings class adjustments for ten jobs, a dye system for costumes, MVP mounts and new medal effects, and schedules Operation Refinement and Hollgrehenn's Redemption for the coming weeks.
What it changes
- Maintenance was today: Sep 22, 04:50 – 09:00 (UTC−4)Times are server time (UTC−4)..
- Nightmare Temple Season 2 — Mysterious Ocean. Base Lv. 90, solo or a party of five. Four difficulties (Normal, Hard, Nightmare and Hell — Hell comes in a later update), five stages each, and a difficulty only opens once all five stages of the previous one are cleared. The five bosses: Mogul, Kraken, Drake, Ancient Strouf and Queen Medusa.
- Maelstrom, the new Divine Armament. Wearing it applies the build effects of every Divine Armament. Its Seasonal Core has permanent stats, active in any season, and seasonal stats, which work at 10x inside that season's temple and at 1x elsewhere while the season lasts — and stop working outside the temple once the season ends.
- Season 1 stays open. You can keep upgrading its armament and hunting its rare mounts, Sweep unlocks for Season 1 after clearing designated stages, and its permanent stats keep working.
- Class adjustments for Lord Knight, Crusader, Summoner, High Wizard, Professor, Assassin Cross, Rebellion, Biochemist, High Priest and Gypsy/Minstrel — mostly new auto-cast options, plus a few numbers: Scratch goes from 130+380% to 130+500% in PvE; Silvervine Stem Spear hits up to 5 players in PvP; Cross Parry gains +20% Physical Block for 5s and its CD goes from 7s to 10s; Rapid Storm's after-cast delay drops to 0.5s; Acid Demonstration's STR bonus now caps at 300% (was 200%).
- Dye. Costumes and headwear tagged Dyeable can be recolored in the Wardrobe, with up to 5 presets per piece — including a preview for pieces you do not own yet.
- Outfit Shop reworked into Limited-Time and Classic zones, with one-click try-on. Until 15/10: the Roaming Dreamer bundle (the Yesternight's Stars, Atlantis and Floral Elf sets) and the Fantasy Unicorn mount.
- MVP mounts: 17 to choose from, under Fashion → Mount → MVP. The permanent comes from the Libra Novawish Rebate, and the Endless Tower now has a chance of a 7-day one.
- Medals: new Medal of Hope (PvE and PvP DMG Bonus and Reduction); Medal of Gratitude now gives the character HP and PDEF instead of pet HP; Medal of Loyalty now gives the character HP and MDEF instead of pet PATK/MATK.
- Events on the calendar: Operation Refinement 28/09–26/10, Operation Union 28/09–12/10 (caps up to 2,500 a day and 12,500 a week), Hollgrehenn's Redemption 05/10–19/10, and Battle Buffet and Deviruchi's Offer 12/10–26/10.
- No more summoning MVPs with Epoch or Aesir Branches in Goblin Forest, Deep in Payon Forest, Orc Village, Glast Heim, Catacomb and Glast Heim Order 2F.
- Mounts: the Lv. 50 and 60 upgrade restrictions are gone; from Lv. 65 on, every part has to reach its restriction level before you can keep upgrading.
- Smaller changes: the Guild Dungeon boss respawns every 30 minutes (was 60); the is now sold under Trade → Items → Growth; Munak Infection shows its duration; one-tap unequip in Valkyrie Feather presets; a toggle for Emperium Overrun's pop-up messages.
- Fixes: the four Glast Heim MVPs can be summoned in the Training Ground again; in the Dimension Drill's Cart Contest the cart now moves toward the side with more players and a match lasts 4 minutes (was 6); plus fixes to the High Wizard's Gemini build, the Lord Knight's Eternal build and the Professor's Psychic Wave with the Teacup Rabbit pet.
