Time to Roll

Recurring

A dice board. Dice come from daily quests, the Poring walks however many pips you rolled, and it collects whatever reward tiles it passes. The lower the roll the more coins it pays — and the coins buy from the event shop, which is where the event actually is.

When it ran

How it works

Dice come from quests, not from the clock. Each roll walks the Poring that many tiles around the board, and it picks up every reward tile it passes on the way. Daily quests reset each day; the event quests close once for the whole event.

The board closes on 07/09 at 05:00, but rewards can be claimed until 10/09 — three days more than the game itself.

What each roll pays

RollPays
1100 coins

3 to 620 coins

The curve runs backwards on purpose: the roll that moves you least is the one that pays most. A 1 barely advances the Poring past any reward tile, and the coins are what makes up for it. Averaged over the six faces, a roll is worth 40 coins.

How many dice you get

Ten a day, one per daily quest: log in · defeat 50, 100, 150 and 200 monsters · spend 20, 40, 60 and 80 Commission Tickets · take part in Demon Treasure 10 times. (The second one is worth a look: the quest is titled “defeat 150 monsters daily” and the counter asks for 50. The counter is what pays.)

Thirty more from the event list, once each: Demon Treasure 50 times, Endless Tower 10F, 1,000 and 2,000 monsters no more than 10 levels below you, 400 Commission Tickets, 10 and 20 MVP kills, and Helheim 4 and 8 times — three or four dice apiece. There is one more entry in that list we could not read.

Across the 14 days that is roughly 170 dice, and at 40 coins a roll, about 6,800 coins plus whatever the Poring collects going around.

Buying every line to its limit costs 15,875 — more than twice what the dice will pay.

Strategy — where the coins should go

The order that matters

Two of the seven lines are out before you start: the and the are ordinary consumables you buy with Zeny. Spending a coin that expires in fourteen days on something that is on sale all year is the one clear mistake available here.

The other five, in order:

  1. , 500 — always first. Fame feeds Medals of Glory, which is power outright, and there is no other source that matters. It is what people who invest in an account buy in volume, and that tells you where the bottleneck is.
  2. , 25 — enchantment level scales a character hard, and enchanting eats coins. This is the one that varies most by player, but it is where the second slot usually goes.
  3. , 500 — few events hand it out, and mount traits do not progress without it.
  4. , 450 — the blessed ore, which keeps a failed refine from dropping the level. With success rates in the 10 to 20% range, protection is worth more than one more attempt.
  5. , 50 — last, and not because it goes unused. Refining is the opposite: success sits somewhere between 10 and 20% depending on the level, and a failure burns the ore for nothing, so consumption is enormous and never saturates. What puts it at the bottom is supply. It falls from everywhere, and Lucky Flip alone hands out around 700 in this same window — this currency buys better things.

What that buys with what the dice pay

Rolls alone are worth about 6,800, and the Poring collects reward tiles on top of that. Following the order above, 6,800 covers the at its limit (3,000), the at its limit (2,500) and two (1,000), with change.

Whatever is left over is not wasted: coins that expire convert to one for one.

The is good — just not with this currency

Worth knowing what it does, since you will buy it with Zeny sooner or later. It doubles two things at once: each kill consumes 2× the Daily Combat count, and each kill has 2× the drop chance. Per point spent the loot is identical, and the doubled EXP is worth nothing at max level.

So what it actually buys is time: the same day of farming in half the kills. It lasts until you are exhausted or until 05:00 the next day.
